The state of Louisiana is known for having one of the largest and most passionate sports fans in the United States. It’s here that popular sports teams such as the New Orleans pg slot game Saints and the New Orleans Pelicans are located. Immediately after PASPA’s removal in 2018, residents here called for sports betting to be made legal.
Finally, in late 2020, a measure to legalize sports betting was approved. It took many months for any sportsbooks to formally launch here. In fact, the first regulated sportsbooks in Louisiana did not launch until only a few weeks ago. Eight casinos in the state now have regulated retail sportsbooks up and running.
