You can use an Epson chip resetter For Epson printers to reset. There are many third-party companies that electronic chip resetters. So you can buy third-party ink cartridge resetters for almost any ink cartridge like Epson workforce 500 ink because this lets you refill these cartridges and reuse them in your printer.
If you buy a resetter for your ink cartridges, you should buy a USB-powered model.
Chip technology has become advanced. And print manufacturers do not want us to refill the cartridges. So they want you to buy new ones from them. Therefore they designed chips that are individually coded for every printer. So this feature does not allow you to reuse the same cartridge in your printer.
The printer doesn’t recognize a chip that has been previously used. If this process doesn’t suit you, you can reset the Epson ink cartridge without the resetter and Epson workforce 500 drivers. You can do that by pressing and holding the button above the chip with a bent paper clip for ten to fifteen seconds.
