The Backrooms is a very original horror story, and Inside The Backrooms does a great job of capturing its scary tone and atmosphere. Each level of the game is based on a well-known part of the Backrooms story. Players are put in environments that look familiar but have just the right amount of disturbing images, strange emptiness, and scary sounds to keep even the most hardened horror fans on edge. On the first level, the constant buzzing of the lights is especially scary, and it's hard to explain how terrifying it is to open a door and see an entity for the first time.
