Fildena 100mg works by blocking the degradative action of cGMP-specific PDE-5 in smooth muscle cells that line blood vessels. This allows nitric oxide and cyclic GMP to relax the muscles in the penis, increasing blood flow to the penis. The resulting increase in blood flow helps create an erection that lasts longer.
Studies have shown that PDE-5 inhibitors improve erectile function in most patient groups, including men with difficult-to-treat ED. These include individuals with diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, and prostate surgery-induced ED.
