Are you a producer or editor of videos? Do you know how to post your work on video sharing websites like YouTube? The fact that videos may be shared on all social media sites will please you, I'm sure. In reality, a lot of video artists are swarming to popular social media platforms like Instagram to advertise their work.
Promote YouTube videos to the site would be helpful for your cause because Instagram has already made a name for itself as a popular platform for sharing visuals like videos and images (with or without fun and exciting filters). But with that in mind, how can you promote your Instagram video content?
In this article, we'll go through 8 effective ways to promote your YouTube music videos (and channel) on Instagram.
1. Benefit from Direct Message Groups
Instagram added a new feature last year that enables users to look for and join direct message (DM) groups on the website. Members of these exclusive groups will only post information in subject areas that interest them. You're required to submit fresh content as an active member of a group, then message others in the group to like and comment on the video. Simply ask your top influencers in that market to join a DM group by sending them a message.
Nancy Badillo, a YouTuber, claims that DM groups will be entrusted with encouraging engagement in the video's original source—your video—by doing more than just liking and commenting on your Instagram video post. So, it pays off greatly to be in a DM group that will be loyal to both you and what you have to offer (which is video content).
To sign up for an Instagram DM group, do the following:
Tap the Message/Lightning Bolt symbol located on the right side of your screen.
Next, enter a subject or area of interest into the Search box. When you confirm, you'll see various profiles that fit under that category or type of activity.
You'll be sent to an account's Instagram Messaging section when you click on its name.
Then you can send them a short message politely requesting to join their direct communication group. Make sure to introduce yourself.
Let them know what you do on Instagram (or what interests you). AND express your gratitude for reading your message.
2. Tag Accounts
That Shares Videos Like Yours When marketing your video, be careful to tag any Instagram users that you notice are creating and uploading content that is comparable to yours.
According to Social Media Examiner, you can tag someone or a business on Instagram in or on the picture of your original post. So, you can tag numerous accounts on that first post to build buzz, and more buzz means more marketing.
3. Point them from their Instagram feed to YouTube.
Believe it or not, you can send viewers from Instagram to YouTube by placing a link in your bio. By updating your profile, you can change your bio by including a link to upload your YouTube channel.
An great example is Amy Landino, a maker of YouTube short videos who has amassed over 65K Instagram followers. Her bio has a link to a new YouTube video.
Similar to this, if you have a YouTube channel, why not advertise it in your Instagram bio? In your bio, you can link to your most recent video, your most watched video to date, or your whole YouTube channel.
