Penalties are now easier to aim, letting you simply move your left stick in the direction of the shoot button to send the ball flying. It's an improvement, but it's not a revolutionary change.
More than just improving the aesthetics, however, HyperMotion 2 also introduces a host of new features and improvements to existing mechanics, including improved set pieces and a revamped Free Kicks mechanic. The goalkeeper's goalie mask is now an animation rather than a simple animation, and the ball behaves more realistically - if a little less nimbly.
