The protagonist of the game is a writer who is looking into the unexplained disappearances of Playtime Co. workers and kids, a toy company that once made well-known toys like Huggy Wuggy, Poppy, and Kissy Missy. In order to engage with the environment, solve puzzles, and escape being assaulted by hate-filled toys that are wandering the factory, journalists must utilize a tool called a GrabPack. The journalist was stranded on a derailed train close to Playcare, a factory-based orphanage run by Playtime Co., when Chapter 2 of the game left off. The preview for Chapter 3 praised Playcare as a fantastic initiative designed to help kids.
