With a large selection of domestic flights and a central location for travelers, Southwest Airlines SAN Terminal is based out of Terminal 1 at San Diego International Airport (SAN). The terminal offers conveniences including dining options, retail stores, and cozy seating areas in addition to convenient access to Southwest's ticketing counters, baggage claim, and TSA security checkpoints. Even though Terminal 1 is undergoing a significant renovation to update and enlarge its amenities, Southwest travelers can still anticipate seamless operations and welcoming service. It is recommended that passengers arrive at least two hours prior to departure in order to provide a smooth and stress-free travel experience by giving enough time for check-in, security screening, and negotiating any construction-related changes.
