If you're here, chances are you're looking into AREDS 2 + Omega-3 supplements for vision support, dry eyes, or age-related macular degeneration (AMD). I’ve been on this same journey for the past year after noticing slight changes in my vision and experiencing regular dryness and fatigue in my eyes—especially after long hours on the computer.
After researching, I narrowed my options down to two formulas:
?? AREDS 2 + Omega-3 from The VitaShope
?? PreserVision AREDS 2 Omega-3 (also known as PreserVision Omega-3 Formula)
Both claim to help support macular health and improve symptoms of digital eye strain and dryness, but I wanted to share my personal experience to help others decide.
?? What is AREDS 2 + Omega-3?AREDS 2 is a well-known formula developed based on clinical studies by the National Eye Institute. The formula includes:

Lutein
[/*]
Zeaxanthin
[/*]
Vitamin C
[/*]
Vitamin E
[/*]
Zinc
[/*]
Copper
[/*]
These are scientifically shown to help reduce the risk of progression in moderate to advanced AMD. But the formula from The VitaShope also includes Omega-3 fatty acids (DHA and EPA)—which makes it an excellent choice for dry eyes and general retinal health.
You can find it here: ?? AREDS 2 + Omega-3 on The VitaShope
?? What About PreserVision Omega-3 Formula?PreserVision AREDS 2 Omega-3 is also based on the AREDS 2 formula but includes fish oil for Omega-3 benefits. It’s a well-established brand and is widely available in pharmacies. However, I found it had a few drawbacks compared to The VitaShope version.
?? My Comparison: AREDS 2 + Omega-3 vs. PreserVision Omega-3 FormulaFeatureThe VitaShope AREDS 2 + Omega-3PreserVision Omega-3 Formula
?? My Experience After 3 MonthsI started with PreserVision AREDS 2 Omega-3 but switched to The VitaShope’s AREDS 2 + Omega-3 after about a month due to the fishy aftertaste and slightly bloated feeling I got post-meal. With VitaShope’s version, I felt a big difference:

No more dry, itchy eyes at the end of the day
[/*]
Better focus and less screen fatigue
[/*]
No fishy burps or upset stomach
[/*]
Smoother digestion overall
[/*]
Another plus? I paired it with their Vitamin D3 supplement, which really boosted my energy levels and immune support. It’s a nice combo if you're trying to support your health holistically.
?? Why Omega-3 Matters in AREDS 2 FormulasIf you’ve ever dealt with digital eye strain, dry eyes, or early AMD, Omega-3s can make a huge difference. DHA is a structural fat found in your retina, and when you’re not getting enough of it (most people don’t), your eyes can feel tired, dry, and strained.
That’s why combining Omega-3s with the classic AREDS 2 formula is such a smart move. Both PreserVision Omega-3 Formula and AREDS 2 + Omega-3 do this, but I felt the VitaShope blend gave me more relief.

Medical cannabis programs are expanding to serve patients across various regions. Getting alpine medical marijuana card provides legal access to dispensaries and a wide selection of cannabis products. The process involves a consultation with a licensed physician who assesses eligibility. Cardholders benefit from reduced taxes and access to high-quality products. With online consultations simplifying the process, Alpine residents can quickly obtain their card and begin using cannabis safely.
