Tadalista is a medication that contains tadalafil, which is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) by improving blood flow to the penis during sexual activity. While Tadalista requires a prescription, there are some over-the-counter (OTC) medications and supplements that can potentially interact with it or should be avoided to prevent adverse effects. Over-the-Counter Drugs to Avoid While Using Tadalista: Nitrates (for chest pain or heart problems): Example: Nitroglycerin, Isosorbide mononitrate. Why to avoid: Combining tadalafil with nitrates Tadalista cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure, leading to symptoms like dizziness, fainting, or heart complications. Alpha-Blockers (used for high blood pressure or prostate problems): Example: Tamsulosin (Flomax), Alfuzosin (Uroxatral). Why to avoid: Both alpha-blockers and Tadalista lower blood pressure. When taken together, they can cause an excessive drop in blood pressure, leading to dizziness, fainting, or even a heart attack in extreme cases. Antacids (if taken shortly before Tadalista): Example: Magnesium hydroxide, Calcium carbonate. Why to be cautious: While antacids don’t directly interact with tadalafil, some can interfere with the absorption of medications. Antacids containing aluminum or magnesium can reduce the effectiveness of tadalafil when taken too soon before it.
