To be honest, I was bracing myself for a stressful travel day when we made our reservation with Frontier Airlines DTW Terminal out of Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW). Expectations must be controlled, long lines must be endured, and everything must be hoped for when traveling with children on a low-cost airline. To my astonishment, however, this experience proved to be pleasantly straightforward. Everything felt well-organized and simple to use as soon as we entered the terminal. The self-service check-in kiosks worked without a hitch, and the Frontier staff nearby were helpful and friendly — they didn’t rush us, and they answered our questions with patience. Once we checked our bags, we found a quiet seating area where the kids could snack and unwind. The terminal felt clean, bright, and far less hectic than I’d expected. Even going through security was smoother than usual — the line moved steadily, and the TSA agents were respectful and efficient. At the gate, everything stayed on schedule. Announcements were clear, and boarding was well-organized. I walked onto the plane feeling surprisingly relaxed. For a low-cost carrier, Frontier Airlines Detroit Terminal worked together to make what could have been a stressful experience feel easy and even enjoyable. I’d definitely do it again.
