Hey everyone, I’ve been running my Amazon FBA business for about two years now, and I’m finally at the point where my finances are getting too messy to keep managing on my own. Between inventory, returns, sales tax in different states, and just trying to keep track of all the fees Amazon charges, it’s honestly getting overwhelming.
I’ve talked to a couple of general accountants, but most of them don’t understand how Amazon FBA works or how e-commerce businesses are different from local service-based ones. I feel like I’m spending too much time explaining what I do and not getting much help in return.
I came across this article that talks about what to look for in an e-commerce accountant, especially if you're using platforms like Shopify or Amazon: https://www.socialcommerceaccountants.com/post/how-to-choose-the-right-shopify-accountant-for-your-e-commerce-business. It was helpful, but I’d love to hear from people who have worked with someone they recommend.
Have any of you hired a solid Amazon FBA accountant who gets the ins and outs of online selling? Would love any recommendations or tips on what to look for. Thanks!
