Course Eligibility:
Passed 10+2 with:
Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects
Plus one subject from: Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / IT / Biology / Biotechnology / Business Studies / Engineering Graphics / etc.
Minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved category).
For Lateral Entry:
Passed a 3-year or 2-year Diploma with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category)
OR Passed B.Sc. degree with 45% marks (40% for reserved category) and studied Mathematics at 10+2 level.
Key Subjects in Syllabus:
Ethical Hacking: Analysing like a hacker to fix data breaches. Some of the top tools used are Kali Linux, Metasploit, and Burp Suite.
Cryptography: Centres around deep learning about encryption to protect information. Some of the key topics are Public/Private Keys, Blockchain basics, and Digital Signatures.
Network Security: Geared towards securing networks from cyber attacks such as DDoS, sniffing, and spoofing.
Cyber Forensics: Focused on solving cyber crimes. It is a preferred specialisation for forensic cyber jobs.
Application Security: Makes sure to protect web and mobile applications from threats such as XSS and SQL Injection.
Artificial Intelligence in Cyber Security: This study focuses on developing knowledge around AI and how AI can be used to solve cybersecurity problems.
