I’ve been exploring different trading software system packages recently, especially ones that offer robust backtesting and paper trading features. For those of us who like to test strategies before going live, these tools are essential. But with so many options out there, it’s tough to figure out which one actually delivers the most accurate and realistic experience.
In your opinion, what is the best trading software package for trying out strategies in a risk-free environment?
I’ve heard good things about TradingView, MetaTrader, and NinjaTrader. Some platforms advertise themselves as the best trading software package, but their backtesting tools either lag or don’t simulate real conditions well. I'd rather invest in one of the trading software system packages that truly replicates live market behavior, including slippage, spread, and order execution speed.
Would love to hear your recommendations:
Which platforms do you use?
Do they allow multiple strategy testing?
How close is the paper trading to live performance?
Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!
