One of the most unusual and comforting airport experiences I've ever had was flying with El Al terminal at jfk. Knowing that El Al has extra security measures in place, I arrived early as advised, and I was shown to their check-in area right away. I had never gone through a security interview before, but the staff handled it expertly; it felt more like a conversation than an interrogation, and it undoubtedly gave me confidence for the trip ahead. I quickly went through TSA after the screening and dropped off my bags. Once inside the terminal, I was impressed with how modern and spacious it was. Terminal 4 is well laid out, with a good balance of quiet waiting areas and bustling food spots. I found a small kosher café, which was a nice surprise, and grabbed something to eat before heading to my gate. The environment felt calm and organized, with plenty of seating and charging stations. The boarding gate was staffed by helpful agents who made announcements in both English and Hebrew, which made me feel like El Al really understood its passengers. Boarding was smooth and efficient, with groups called clearly and in order. What stood out the most during the whole experience was how secure and cared for I felt without the process being stressful. Even though I’m used to more minimal check-in experiences with domestic airlines, I actually appreciated the added steps here—it made the whole flight feel more personal and intentional. From check-in to takeoff, el al terminal jfk delivered a travel experience that balanced security, efficiency, and cultural attentiveness. I’d definitely choose to fly out of JFK with them again because everything just felt thoughtfully done and traveler-focused.
