To access your phone's ringtone settings for free, you don't need any special apps. Everything is located directly in your device's settings, whether it's an Android phone or an iPhone at sonnerietelephone.org
On an Android device, Open your phone's Settings.
Go to Sounds & Vibration, then tap Ringtone.
You'll see a list of pre-installed ringtones. At the top of the list, look for an option to add a custom sound (often a + sign or "Add from file").
Select an audio file you already have on your phone (an MP3 of a song, a recorded sound, etc.). The sound will be added to your ringtone list, and you can set it as your default ringtone.
On an iPhone, Open your phone's Settings.
Go to Sounds & Vibration, then tap Ringtone.
You'll see the list of default ringtones. Custom ringtones you've transferred via iTunes or Finder (from an .m4r file) will appear at the top of this list. Simply select them to activate them.
Tip: To change the sound of a notification or alarm, the process is the same. Go to your phone's sound settings and choose the type of sound you want to change (notification sound, alarm sound, etc.) to customize it.
