I recently came across something called a crash driving course in Manchester, and I wanted to hear opinions on it. Despite the name, it doesn’t mean crashing—it refers to a fast, condensed course designed to get you ready for your test in just a few days.
Typically, these courses involve several hours of driving each day, covering all the basics like clutch control, parallel parking, emergency stops, and roundabouts. Because the lessons are back-to-back, you don’t forget what you’ve learned, which makes progress quicker.
I noticed that Impulse Driving School offers crash driving courses with patient, DVSA-approved instructors. Their approach is focused on building confidence, even though the time frame is short. It’s meant for learners who need a license urgently, such as for a new job or travel.
The main challenge, in my opinion, is whether it’s too much for a complete beginner. Driving requires focus, and being behind the wheel for 5–6 hours daily might be draining. However, for learners with some experience, it could be the fastest way to get test-ready.
Has anyone here tried a crash driving course in Manchester? Did it work for you, or did you need additional lessons afterwards?
