Malegra, a medication containing sildenafil or similar PDE5 inhibitors, is used to treat erectile dysfunction by relaxing blood vessels and increasing blood flow. While effective, some men report ear-related side effects, including ear pain, ringing (tinnitus), or a feeling of fullness. This occurs due to the drug’s effect on blood flow and inner ear structures.
The inner ear contains tiny blood vessels and delicate structures responsible for hearing and balance. PDE5 inhibitors like Malegra can cause changes in blood pressure or minor alterations in blood flow to these areas. In some individuals, this may result in temporary discomfort, pressure, or pain in the ears. Rarely, it can trigger tinnitus or sudden hearing changes.
Other contributing factors include pre-existing ear conditions, high blood pressure, or cardiovascular problems, which may amplify susceptibility. Side effects are usually mild and temporary, but persistent ear pain, dizziness, or hearing loss should be taken seriously, as they may indicate a rare but significant reaction.
Men experiencing ear pain after taking MALEGRA should stop the medication and consult a doctor. A healthcare professional can evaluate whether the symptom is related to the drug, adjust the dose, or suggest alternative ED treatments that pose less risk to ear health.
