Malegra 200 mg is a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It contains Sildenafil Citrate, the same active ingredient found in Viagra. Sildenafil belongs to a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. The drug works by increasing blood flow to the penis, helping a man achieve and maintain an erection suitable for sexual activity.
When a man is sexually stimulated, the body releases nitric oxide in the penile tissue. This chemical activates the enzyme guanylate cyclase, which increases Malegra 200 Mg of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). The cGMP helps relax smooth muscles and dilate blood vessels in the penis, allowing more blood to enter. PDE5 breaks down cGMP, reducing its effect. Sildenafil blocks PDE5, maintaining higher cGMP levels and prolonging erection duration.
Malegra 200 mg does not cause an erection automatically; sexual stimulation is still necessary for it to work. Its effects usually begin within 30 to 60 minutes after intake and can last for up to 4–6 hours. It’s important to take the medicine under medical supervision, as higher doses may increase the risk of side effects such as headaches, flushing, dizziness, or vision changes.
