Bhujasana yoga, popularly known as the Cobra Pose, is an essential back-bending posture that plays a significant role in improving spinal flexibility and overall body strength. Derived from the Sanskrit words bhujanga (cobra) and asana (pose), this asana resembles the raised hood of a cobra and is performed by gently lifting the chest while lying face down on the mat. Regular practice of Bhujangasana helps strengthen the spine, stretch the chest, shoulders, and abdominal muscles, and correct poor posture. In addition to its physical benefits, Bhujangasana yoga stimulates digestive organs, reduces stress and fatigue, enhances blood circulation, and promotes mental calmness, making it a valuable pose for both physical and mental well-being.
