Now realising this site has been quietly doing good work for longer than I knew, and a look at pineharbormerchantgallery suggested an archive worth exploring, sites with deep archives of consistent quality represent a different kind of resource than sites with viral hits and this one looks like the durable kind based on what I see.

Speaking carefully because I do not want to overstate things this site is genuinely above average across multiple measurements, and a stop at cocoabasil continued the above average performance, the calibration of judgement against potential overstatement is something I take seriously and this site clears the higher bar even after that calibration applies.
