Vilitra 20 is a brand-name medication whose active ingredient is Vardenafil, used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). Sildenafil, known commonly by the brand Viagra, is another PDE5 inhibitor for the same condition. Both drugs work by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, but they differ in onset, duration, and potency.
Vilitra (Vardenafil) typically starts working within 30–60 minutes and can last up to 5–6 hours, whereas Sildenafil usually begins in 30–60 minutes but lasts around 4–5 hours. Some users report that Vilitra 20 mg may have a slightly faster onset and a stronger effect at lower doses. The standard Vilitra dose is 10–20 mg, compared to Sildenafil’s common dose range of 25–100 mg, making Vardenafil potentially more potent milligram for milligram.
Side effects are generally similar—headache, flushing, nasal congestion, and dizziness—but some individuals tolerate one drug better than the other. Food intake can affect Sildenafil more than Vardenafil; a high-fat meal may delay Sildenafil’s absorption, while Vilitra is less affected. Ultimately, choice depends on personal response, doctor recommendation, and cost or availability.
