Hi everyone,
I’m currently planning a deep-dive immersion for later this year and wanted to get some feedback on the ashtanga yoga shala Rishikesh. I’m looking for a place that maintains the traditional Mysore grit while offering modern recovery tools.
The Training Path: I’m stuck between the foundational 200 hour yoga teacher training and the more advanced 300 hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh. Has anyone here completed their 100 hour yoga teacher training Rishikesh as a "refresher"? I want to make sure the adjustment clinic is hands-on enough to actually level up my teaching.
Integrated Healing Stack: In 2026, it feels like just teaching asana isn't enough. I’m really interested in their sound healing course for nervous system regulation and the ayurveda therapy course for metabolic health. For those who have taken these alongside a TTC, was the schedule manageable, or is it better to do them separately?
Choosing the Right Retreat Window: My partner is coming along but just wants to decompress. I see they offer several tiers:
The Quick Reset: A 3 days yoga retreat in rishikesh or a 5 days yoga retreat in rishikesh for acute stress relief.
The Deep Recalibration: I’ve heard a 7 days yoga retreat in rishikesh is the minimum to actually see physical progress, but is it worth pushing for the full 14 days yoga retreat in Rishikesh for a total habit reset?
If you’ve stayed at the Shala recently, I’d love to know about the general vibe—is it still keeping that authentic, disciplined edge in Tapovan?
