I'm trying to plan a quick one-day getaway from the city next weekend, and I keep stumbling upon mentions of Bhardwaj Lake in Faridabad. It sounds like the perfect spot to escape the usual mall culture and actually get some fresh air. For those who don't know, it's this hidden lake in the Aravalli ranges, apparently formed accidentally due to old mining activities. Now it's a pretty popular spot for trekkers and cyclists. I have a few questions for anyone who has been there recently. What's the best route to start the trek? I read that you can begin near the Aravali International School on the Delhi-Faridabad border. Also, is the Asola Wildlife Sanctuary trail clearly marked, or do you need a guide? I'm planning to go with a small group of friends. More importantly, how safe is it? The guide I read mentioned that network connectivity is patchy and it's best to go with company. Also, are there any shops near the lake, or should we carry all our water and food? Any tips on the terrain or things to watch out for would be great. We're looking for a real adventure, and Bhardwaj Lake seems like a solid option away from the usual crowded spots. Any advice would be appreciated!
