I'm planning a food trip to Indore next month, and everyone keeps telling me that I absolutely cannot miss 56 Dukan Street. For those who haven't heard of it, it's apparently this iconic food lane originally named for having 56 shops (though it has expanded now). I've been watching videos of people trying Poha Jalebi there, and my taste buds are already tingling! I wanted to reach out to fellow foodies who have actually been there recently. Is 56 Dukan Street really as good as they say? I know it's famous and probably crowded, but I'm specifically curious about a few things: First, what are the absolute must-try dishes? I've got Pani Puri and Poha Jalebi on my list, but I'm sure there are hidden gems that only locals know about. Second, what's the best time to go? I read that evenings are great because of the lights and vibe, but someone also mentioned weekends might be less crowded? That seems contradictory, so I'd love clarification. Also, how cash-dependent is it? The guide mentioned bringing cash because not all shops take cards. Is that still true, or have most shops gone digital now? Finally, I'm debating between visiting 56 Dukan Street and Sarafa Bazaar. I know Sarafa is famous too, but if I only have one evening, which one should I pick? Any advice from Indore food veterans would be super helpful!
