Yamamoto Set for Afternoon Start as Dodgers Seek Series Split
Yoshinobu Yamamoto will take the ball Thursday afternoon as the Dodgers attempt to salvage a series split against the San Francisco Giants .
The Japanese right-hander has been excellent in his second MLB season, entering Thursday’s start with a 2.10 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 25.2 innings. He’ll face Giants ace Logan Webb, who led the National League in innings pitched each of the last three seasons. The Dodgers have dropped four of their last five games and were shut out Wednesday for the first time in 2026. A strong bounce-back from Yoshinobu Yamamoto would not only stop the bleeding but also keep Los Angeles atop the NL West alongside San Diego. Show your support at the dodgers Store.
