EsperLuxe and De Bethune Launch the DB27 "Night Hawk" Limited Edition
The brand's iconic "Starry Sky" motif makes its debut on a DB27 timepiece.
In this highly anticipated collaboration, De Bethune and independent retailer EsperLuxe jointly unveil the DB27 "Night Hawk" watch, a special interpretation of the brand's iconic Titan Hawk collection. Designed with the personal involvement of master watchmaker Denis Flageollet, "Night Hawk" commemorates the project and reflects the shared vision of innovation and craftsmanship between the two companies. The watch is rich in symbolism, with its "Starry Sky" display precisely reproducing the actual night sky over the area when EsperLuxe and De Bethune officially began their collaboration in 2021.
The DB27 "Night Hawk" brings several aesthetic firsts to the collection, most notably the titanium flame-blue dial, marking the first time this starry sky motif has appeared on a DB27 model. The polished 43mm Grade 5 titanium case is only 9mm thick and features another design first in the collection: matte, flame-blued "short" floating lugs that flexibly conform to the wrist. The dial features mirror-polished blued steel hands and a ring of hour markers emblazoned with silver Roman numerals, while the middle case is adorned with De Bethune's signature "microlite" guilloché pattern.
The watch is powered by the in-house AUTOV2 movement, offering a 60-hour power reserve and incorporating several patented innovations, including a titanium balance wheel with white gold counterweights and a "DB" balance spring with a flat-ended curve. The skeletonized automatic movement is fully visible through the transparent case back, showcasing De Bethune's profound expertise in finishing and mechanical technology.
