Trying to plan a day trip and can't get a consistent answer on the Dehradun to Dalai Hills distance. Some sources say the drive is quick since it's near Mussoorie, but I want to know actual road time, not just straight-line distance. From what I've gathered, Dehradun Railway Station is roughly 37 km away, and once you're in Mussoorie, Dalai Hills is only about 3.3 km further via NH707A. Has anyone driven this route recently? Is the road condition decent for a rental car, or would a taxi with a local driver make more sense given the hill turns? Also wondering if it's doable as part of a single-day Mussoorie visit or if it deserves its own dedicated stop.
